📖 In 1 Samuel 5, we see the power of God displayed when the Philistines captured the Ark of the Covenant and placed it in the temple of their false god, Dagon. But Dagon could not stand in the presence of the living God — twice he fell before the Ark, shattered and broken.
God also struck the Philistines with plagues, showing that His presence cannot be mocked or mishandled. This chapter reminds us that no idol, no power, and no enemy can stand against the true and living God.
